Hono Kai Resort B4

Three important things about this condo, Location, Location, and Location. The central Maui location has always been our preference, the unit is the most prime spot in this condo complex, and the condo is located right on the beach with beautiful sunrise views from the lanai.

The condo itself was clean and the kitchen was well equipped (we couldn't find a corkscrew). The internet was good enough to support a couple of hours of work time each day. This was our fourth visit to this condo complex and this unit was the most in-need of an update. I could list all the shortcomings but I think it's fair to say that the location of this unit keeps it rented, not the trendy furnishings and decor. Our stay (three adults in our 60's was nine nights and we enjoyed our time very much. God willing, we'll be back again sometime soon.

Been coming to Hono Kai Maui for 19 years . Love the location to the beach and close to the small Harbour. The sunrises are beautiful . Highly recommend Destination Rentals and Rosemary. They are simply the best!

This place worked great for the 5 of us (3 grandkids, 22,18,16). The sounds of the ocean were wonderful. The location was good for all or explorations. It also was continually blustery, windy. Views were great.

Awesome location. Accommodates 5 via queen bed and 3 single beds. This is an older unit in need of a restoration (painting, carpets, furniture, entertainment technology). But it is priced accordingly. There was no other unit close in price that is right on the ocean that accommodates 5 that we could find. Management company was responsive and knowledgeable of this specific unit (we called after excessive December rains that damaged some resorts). The Hono Kai resort was well maintained and clean. The beach was clean, great waves, good snorkeling, saw whales almost every day. The thing I liked best about the unit was working on the balcony in the morning and watching the sun rise over Mt Haleakala.

Wonderful vacation at Maalaea Bay Rentals

Beachfront condo located in Maalaea Bay which is a quiet area with amazing views of Sugar Beach. Perfect location to dining, activities, and entertainment in Lahaina, Wailea, Kaanapali etc.

My Happy Place

Been home for over a week now and I still miss the sound of the ocean, heart stopping sunrises and warm sandy beach. I consider Hono Kai my second home and look forward every year to return and re-energize. However, I miss the folks who used to work at the office. They were always there with a friendly smile and would help with anything I needed. I was glad to see Rosemary and Jennifer still there..sort of like part of the Ohana. They helped me navigate the TV and wireless, which was very confusing. Been going there for the last 10 years and can't wait to return.

Loved looking at the Pacific out the window with amazing views of Haleakal?. A fantastic site on Maui with easy access to east side drives and west side destinations. An easy 20 min. drive to the airport.

This is the second time I have stated in Hono Kai Resort. This is a great place to stay. It is centrally located to West Maui, South Maui, Upcountry and the airport. We stayed in unit B4 and it was perfect. It was recently remodeled and we were the first guests in the unit and it was beautifully done and had everything needed for the stay. When I say everything, they thought about everything someone might need for a stay. There was good privacy for both of my teenage kids. It had gorgeous views of the ocean. The staff works very hard to keep the resort working beautifully and even with outside construction in the parking lot they were great at communicating information to the tenants as needed. I would recommend this location to anyone that is coming to Maui whether the first time or coming again. The location, amenities, and value make this a great place to stay especially for a family. The beach out front isn't much but there are so many other beaches to go to within a short drive from here that was never an issue for us. This is a practical place to stay not an over the top high priced resort but you can't beat the location.

A view from every window, the ocean at your feet, that's why you choose this condo. You will not be impressed by the interior. It easily classifies as "run-down". Worn out and rusty shower stalls (the upstairs one never got hot water), chipped tile, beaten up furniture, is easily overlooked because of all the units in the complex this one has three sides of windows for ventilation and views. Plan to bring everything. There wasn't even salt and pepper in the kitchen. No beach chairs or boogie boards (although we found a pair of abandoned ones by the trash and left them in the unit), one set of snorkel and fins. The condo is sufficient. Just don't come here expecting something really nice.

Highly Recommend Hono Kai ocean View Condos

We are a returning guest that always stays in A4 or B4. We will plan our trip around when these units are available. We love it there and perfect location. Several of my friends, co-workers and family have stayed there as well due to my past recommendations and referrals

Been coming to Hono Kai together for 17 years . That kinda says it all. Sunny days , walks on the beach, life time friends, and golf courses within 15 minutes .
