Kuleana Resort 414

This was a great place to relax. We have stayed here 3 or 4 times before and all rooms in the 400 building have been wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped and the chairs and bed comfortable. It is close to a grocery store, coffee shop and Papi Ohana (best cimmanon rolls). The staff is outstanding.

We have stayed in this unit twice before. Very familiar with it. Loved it. First washer dryer. It is there but locked behind doors. To wash clothes have to pay for laundry with coins machine which was broken. Tell us there is no access in description of property. Garbage disposal went out, and AC remote went out. Cannot get fixed over weekends. Place was dirty. Owners should know.

I’m a repeat visitor to Kukeana. Each unit varies based upon owners furnishings and uogrades. Great views in oceanfront units but frankly most units have a nice outlook of some sort. Directvoceanfront units like this one are very private unlike other complexes with lounge chairs on lawn in front of beach. Only exception may be the building nearest where there is sometimes a small beach depending upon surf. (Sometimes guests sit in front of these units nit realizing there may be people losing their privacy. However all beaches are public in Hawaii so there shouldn’t be an expectation no one can walk in front of your lanai. . Beautiful grounds, well maintained. Unit was very clean with comfortable supportive bed. AC in bedroom (only) works great for needed summer days. Great whale watching. BBQs facing ocean nice to meet other visitors and chat while cooking. Tiki torches are lit
from sunset to about 8 or 9 pm. Nice romantic touch not found in many condo complexes (just hotels) Friendjy staff. Knives were very dull so I’m donating a sharpener to the unit. All in all a great place to stay. I would return.

414 at The Kuleana Resort was the perfect getaway vacation place with island breezes, stunning views and a truly relaxing vibe. Island style upgrade was exactly what we were looking for. With the BBQ pit, pool and parking within easy reach and local markets a short drive away, this was the best condo location. The scents of gardenia, plumeria and pikake in the air completed the scene for us. Mahalo nui loa to the grounds staff, security and front desk for their smiles and service. We got to know a few of them and appreciate them very much.

A great stay as always at Kuleana, this time in #414. Great ocean front unit with a tremendous view. Wonderful pool and sandy beach out front with lots of turtles. Hoku in the office is always very helpful.

Overall stay was ok. The view, sunsets and ocean sounds on the patio were awesome. Liked the location. However, we are light sleepers and the A/C window unit in the bedroom is really loud. We couldn't use it while sleeping so we heard the neighbors out the bedroom window, beside us and below us. They constantly scrape the chairs which sound like thunder. The front door lock was challenging to open the first couple of days. The afternoon heat is felt in the back in the kitchen and living room as there is no a/c there. Good little beach next to complex and views of turtles near the shore. I loved having the beach chairs available. The grounds were well kept. Miso Phat sushi nearby was good, but long wait times even to go orders.

Amazing location just above a sea turtle sanctuary. Loved watching the turtles and hearing the sound of the crashing ocean waves. The grounds are meticulously maintained and beautiful.
The only very minor negatives are - there is no hot tub on the property. And the bath mat was dirty and should be replaced.

You can’t beet the view! Turtles everyday,Rainbows and listening to the waves but it is far from being upto the standards we are used to for a rental. It looks old needs lots of maintenance. I fixed the screen door changed a light bulb as soon as we got there. The kitchen was poorly outfitted without even 1 coffee filter. They hid the extra roll of toilet paper so well we bought some at the store. The bedroom fan makes all kinds of noise and needs to be replaced it is unusable

I stayed for 3 wonderful weeks. I have been going to Kuluena for many many years ( 18, I think.) You can't ask for a better place to stay. It is quiet, peaceful, well-maintained and very helpful staff.

The Kuleana Resort was quiet and peaceful, the condo was comfortable (loved the king size bed), the ocean view was gorgeous, and our access to snorkeling with turtles was right outside the condo. The location put us conveniently close to many snorkeling beaches and hiking trails, and Lahaina through Napili offered many restaurant and entertainment choices.

We had a wonderful time! Views are beautiful and property is well maintained! Front St. was a short drive away and many other small restaurants and beaches were within walking distance. Only complaints are that the bed was a little too firm for our liking and when the upstairs neighbor opened their sliding doors to go onto their lanai it was ridiculously loud, sounded like booming thunder in the condo every time. With that being said, we’d still recommend the location to people!

Very enjoyable. There were a few problems however. The living room light kept turning on and off by itself. The radio in the bedroom doesn't work and we had problems with the TV remotes that required unplugging and replugging the TV and cable box. It would be nice if there were two beach chairs {one was broken, but usable} and un umbrella for use. I left an umbrella the last time we were there but it was gone.

Best view and location on the west side

One of the best vacation spots we have been to. The view is a post card. Beach area to right and left is a little small but, some of the best snorkeling on Maui. Best snorkeling at that condo, better than the trip we took to Molokini Crater. More turtles at condo than "turtle town". We will be back to 414.

The resort is superior to other resorts in the area. A large pool, beautiful beaches, friendly staff in a great location.the only negative would be that the sofa and chair in 414 is very uncomfortable. The bed was very hard as well. We brought the outdoor furniture into the living room because it was more comfortable than the chair.

Easy access and even got a bit of help at check in from a very nice maintenance guy.
View from our lanai was spectacular.
Quiet and enjoyable as always.
The grounds were beautiful and clearly maintained with care.
Two minor things,
Beach access for snorkeling was a bit harder now, but certainly still was doable.
The natural gas grills were great for seafood, but it was harder to get them really hot to sear beef.
Overall, a wonderful place to stay yet again.

We could only get one tv to kind of work and even that one had no access to any decent channels. Worst TV experience of any rental I have ever used. Hopefully this problem is mostly in unit 414, not the unit we wanted, but we heard horror stories from other guests about their tv also so work on that.

Kuleana Resort is a clean, quiet and beautiful. We loved the private beach and the snorkeling here is wonderful. Plenty of turtles and even spotted an octopus! We will be spending more time at this resort.

Well maintained condo and property. We saw tons of turtles from our balcony as well as whales in the distance.

Very clean and tidy unit. Million dollar view, we watched turtles swimming by every morning. Very strong AC in the bedroom kept it nice and cool. No issues at all!
