The view from the lanai is breathtaking- whales breaching while we sipped our morning coffee, turtles feeding in the water at the shoreline in the evening. We love coming here. The pool is perfect after snorkeling. The unit is a wonderful place to unwind. Thank you!

Staff was very organized, friendly and helpful. Documentation provided via email very good!

Rental unit was nice, but not up to our expectations. Kitchen utensils were lacking. WiFi password was missing. Air Conditioner barely worked, probably needs servicing.

Beautiful Spot, Beautiful Complex

Perfect view of the channel, sea turtles swimming right on the shores and a beautifully maintained landscaping on the property. Absolutely fantastic and still a quiet area to enjoy your stay. The room was simple and appliances were older, especially the bedroom a.c. which was loud. We loved our whole stay though and still slept well despite the loud a.c.

Listen to the waves at night

Our stay was amazing. At night listening to the waves just off the balcony was the most enjoyable part. The only negative was a little street traffic noise in the bedroom. We live in the mountains, not the city, so perhaps many travelers wouldn't notice it.

The view from this unit is truly spectacular and I never tired of drinking my morning coffee or evening sundowners while soaking it all in. Had use of 2 very nice Tommy Bahama chairs for the beach. Unfortunately this unit is very tired looking and needs a makeover. The ceiling fans are newer looking and very effective. The shower looked pretty good and functioned well. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows need to be thrown out, very hard and old, doesn't work for me. I ended up buying myself a pillow and just left it in the unit. The artwork on the living room walls are very faded, not like the unit pictures but that just goes with the need to refresh. We had a fabulous experience but next time we will choose a different unit.

Incredible Value, Incredible View
Why are you in Maui? To stay indoors in a luxe room at a luxe resort (for $500 a night)? If so, this isnt the condo or the place. But if you want an incredible, unobstructed view of the ocean from your balcony, just 20 ft. of grass between you and the beach and snorkeling right in front of you--at a ridiculously low price--this is your room. The condo looks like it hasnt been updated since built 30 years ago. But we didnt care. 2 mi to Kaanapali Beach, 6 mi to Lahaina. Free parking. Low cleaning fee and no condo assn. fee. Spend your money on activities and dinners.

The experience was good in many ways - the condo is in a fantastic location with a great view of the surf. However, a few things were below expectation: the condo was not clean, particularly the floors, especially the lanai. This was previously communicated to you. A layer of sand on the lanai floor, table, etc. This was also the case inside but not as bad. In addition, the condo could really use a deep cleaning - there is dirt on the bedroom ceiling and walls. A one-time deep clean would really help going forward.

Easy in, they text us when condo was available. Actually 2 hours early.
Unit was comfortable, a bit dated and the kitchen pans were worn.
Sunsets were gorgeous. Beach was only accessible by crawling down big rocks

I own a timeshare here so I love it so I rented this unit to give me more time. I also like the second floor location, which mine is not.. This place needs a bit of replacement of cabinet handles and sink. The location of the microwave is cumbersome and not like other units but these are minor.

Overall great stay, the view from the balcony is great and the unit is quiet and relatively quiet. The unit is rather dated compared to others in the complex. Be aware the parking spot in the complex are small and they will put a warning sticker on your car if you park over a line. Other than that great stay and it was nice to be able snorkel with the turtles right off the complex.

Overall a 4 because the view of the ocean, sunsets, whales and turtles were fantastic. The Kuleana Resort is small two story complex that’s quiet and right on the ocean. Parking is extremely tight spaces are made for very small cars. Our unit #711 was clean and acceptable but extremely dated, stains on the walls, terrible pillow and bed and more expensive than other units that were updated. Didn’t have a need to interact with the staff very much but they were all friendly. I’d stay again in a different unit.

The kuleana itself is a beautiful property. Unit 711 is a decent unit but in need of upgrading, especially the bedroom. The AC in the bedroom smells of mildew and it needs a paint job. The road noise in the bedroom is annoying to say the least and that would preclude us from ever staying in building 7 again.

The location is wonderful and we loved the little beach in front of the condo for morning swimming and snorkeling. We only got one snorkel set and could have used another, but we made do. The condo itself is a bit old and is showing signs of wear and tear, but overall it was clean and cozy and the temp stayed very comfortable with the ocean breezes coming in off the lanai. Management was friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again! Mahalo!
