The rental process was quick and efficient. The condo was amazing. You are right on the water watching whales and the ocean and the islands in all their glory. Hawaii is a special place with very wonderful and kind people who live there.

The condo was awesome and had everything we needed. The ocean is just a stone throws away from our balcony so we could enjoy the beautiful at all times and hear the waves at night. Very low key, a BBQ steps away, and we could sit under the stars at night. Perfect!

Condo offered the best whale watching possible. Walking distance to the harbor, restaurants, shopping. Fully functional kitchen, big fridge with icemaker, ceramic cooktop, etc. Lanai comfortable for two people, The grounds were meticulously cared for.This condo has air conditioning.

PROS: We had a great experience staying here. It was clean, and the view was unbeatable. We were there in February and whales could be seen almost constantly from the lanai. It was so much fun! The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with cooking supplies. The location was PERFECT. We stayed in Lahaina on our first Maui trip, but this location was our favorite. Close to great beaches, food, hikes, and water excursions. The property grass area overlooking the ocean is really nice as well (complete with beach chairs to relax on.)

CONS: No A/C in the bedroom. (It wasn’t crazy hot outside during our mid-winter visit, so the room didn’t get super hot. BUT the sheets are microfiber and trap the heat in terribly, which made nights pretty warm. We used the stand up fan in the hallway to circulate the air from the living room A/C though, which made it tolerable. Better sheets could help this issue, and a bedroom A/C would solve the problem.

Overall, we had a very positive experience staying here. We would recommend it to friends (as long as they are okay with sleeping a little warm at night).

The support from Rosemary with our rental was astonishing. Maui Vacation is a 5 star agency for condo rental. The view is fantastic and the premises are really nice.

We were immediately pleased and comfortable with the condo. It’s cozy and quiet, you rarely hear neighbors around you. Wake up to drink coffee on the lanai every morning and watch the sun rise. It’s centrally located to all points you may want to visit on Maui. The condo is sufficiently furnished with all supplies you may need such as towels, sheets, kitchen ware, even sunscreen and sand mats and beach chairs. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this Ma’alaea condo. The location was perfect because we could easily get to anywhere we wanted to go on the island. The view from our lanai was amazing. We saw whales and sea turtles. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the swimming pool. We would love to come back!

Our family of three was very happy with our stay in our condo at Maalaea Kai Resort. Can't beat the views, nice pool, huge lawn with room to explore the shoreline at the edge. Saw several turtles just steps away from us, nibbling from the rocks in the water.

The decor was nice, clean, and in great condition. The location was excellent, with a nice little group of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Only complaint is that the parking spaces are extremely tight. Don't rent a large vehicle, or you'll be parking it on the street (which is fine).

I've stayed at the Maalaea Kai probably about 15 times over the last 30 years. They have mostly all been very enjoyable.

The condo unit we rented at Maalaea Kai was just right. It was not luxurious, but very adequate. The location and view of the bay and mountains was fabulous.
