There are many open air markets on Maui, but two of the best are the Maui Swap Meet in Kahului and the Lahaina Gift and Craft Fair. You will often find items similar to shops and galleries at much better prices.

The Maui Swap Meet is held every Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Temporarily at Dairy Road Center, the swap will be moving back to their regular location at the University of Hawaii Maui College just off of Ka`ahumanu Ave in Kahului. Check their Facebook page for more information and detailed driving directions. Over 200 vendors, cheap 50 cent admission.

Local Tip: Wear a hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle. You may spend more time than planned browsing the booths in the sun.

The Lahaina Gift and Craft fair is (usually) every Sunday 9am to 2pm. The fair is currently being held in the Lahaina Gateway Shopping Center parking lot, even though it is on the fringe of the 2023 Lahaina fire. Check their website for the latest updates and directions.

Other Gift and Craft Fairs on Maui

Beach Walk Gift and Craft Fair is on the ocean side of the Marriott Ocean Club on Kaanapali Beach every Tuesday 9:30-2:00. In South Maui, there is the Kihei Wailea Gift and Craft Fair on the corner of South Kihei road and Keonekai Road every Wednesday 9:00-2:00.
